SonicPi System Requirements

Hello comrades!

I’m looking at linux, how much room does debian usually take?
Both on install, and typical (by the time you’ve grabbed all the stuff you often need and sudone any required updates.

Also learned of Lubuntu, Puppy Linux, and Tiny Core Linux, the latter sounds ideal; could it be so simple as to grab that, install, then build and run sp there?

Just wondering 🤓

If you don’t want to build yourself, there is a flatpak install available for version 4.5 from Sonic Pi | Flathub

It states that it requires 266.93 Mb to download, and that the installed size is about 514.18 Mb
You would also have to have FlatHub installed on your distro first see here
