Performing with Sonic Pi and band

I thought to share this performance that I did with a band that calls “Namid & Sondervan”.
I’m the live coder of this band.
The recording is really lo-fi I’m afraid, but it shows the idea.
We recorded an album that will be released in March next year.
There’s some footage of a concert we did last week, have to get a copy, I could share that one as well.
Cheers!

S-Pi ( on this forum anyways ) is not
often used in an ensemble setting .

Ace! I like the way it evolves.

A bit hard to see what’s going on (!) but an upright bass, drums and you? Anything else? Are your sounds purely from vanilla SPi or do you have other sources?

Well, our band has an upright bass with fx, drums, a saxophone player, who has midi and effects, and a saxophone player that has no effects, pure acoustic, and me doing the live coding.
The mix isn’t that good and the recording is just as Zoom in the back of the venue. It was the first time I used it for recording. So many gigs that I did, that I have no footage off. So now I take it with me all the time  . All live coding is pure Sonic Pi. No external synths or sequencers. I use my own samples, that’s it. Here I use chords that I pitch and stretch, to obtain a rave sound. And then change how it repeats.

We have much better recordings now, and I hope to be able to share it soon.
