Swedish programmer and maker of various noises

Hello! I’ve been working as a web and software developer for over 25 years and have been making music for 30 years, but only found out about Sonic Pi a week or so ago – the internet is a big place, I guess. I’m mostly making music for my own enjoyment, but if anyone wants to check it out, I’ve put up most of my output from the past 20 years here (it’s not a lot, and a lot of it is not great): http://olaglig.info/.

Over the years, I’ve accumulated a lot of outboard gear and am looking forward to integrating Sonic Pi into it my setup, both to create noise and control synths. I’m always looking for ways to compensate for my acute lack of instrument-playing skills, and I’m so happy to have found a piece of music production software that really resonates with how my brain works.

Just had a look at your website. I like the retro look. And I think, it is never to late to learn to play an instrument. I restarted with it after a pause of nearly 40 years. I played recorder and acoustic guitar when I was a teenager in the seventies. As a former software developer I chose a wind controller - a Sylphyo, because a real saxophone would be too loud for my neighbours.
