Sonic Pi on Chromebook

I have a Samsung Chromebook plus, and am running Chrome OS v74 on the beta channel. Given that Chromebooks now have linux support, and that on v74 this also includes audio support, I’m excited about using Sonic Pi on my laptop…

However, although I can install it (after a bit of fiddling) using the instructions here and a bit of tweaking as per the method here, I cannot get Sonic Pi to run…

I’ve tried to run qjackctl but this just hangs in the terminal…

Any advice from anyone who has the program working succesfully on a Chromebook very gratefully received!
