OPEN CALL collaborative fanzine - syntax of audio livecoding

Hi everyone! With the collective I’m part of, the Coookie Collective, we’re launching a collaborative fanzine project dedicated to the syntax of audio livecoding.

You can find all the project details here, the deadline is June 1st

Concept:

A simple track has been composed.

:bullseye: Your mission: reproduce it using your favorite livecoding software.

We will provide: the full audio recording (both the full mix and individual stems), the score (in text, MIDI, and piano roll formats).

Project Goals:

• Compare the syntaxes of different languages and software

• Highlight the styles and approaches of participants

• Guide newcomers in choosing a language or tool that fits their sensibilities

No selection process: any valid submission will be accepted. If, for any reason related to your software, you’re unable to make an exact replica, it’s not a big deal. What matters are the ideas — how you play with notes, rhythms, structures…

The fanzine will include both the code and the information submitted by each participant. It will be presented in June at a publishing fair in Montreuil, France, as well as at upcoming Cookie Collective events, and will also be hosted on this website

The music to replicate was created with Sonic Pi,

Im in! Sounds like a fun project.

It’s an honor to have someone from the Sonic Pi core team in the project

That’s me btw, just to avoid any confusion  Looking forward to it :slightly_smiling_face:
