Introduction - Mikael Karlsson

Hi,
I have not been doing much electronic music, just started to play with Sonic Pi, even though I have some friends that are deeply into SuperCollider and goes to gatherings like Linux Audio Conferences. But I have been working with Erlang on and off for some time and got quite interested when I learned about Erlang bundled with Sonic Pi from a video with Sam Aaron and Joe Armstrong. I would like to see how much the Erlang VM, with languages like Elixir and Erlang, can be utilized for making electronic music and how far into the synthesizer stack you can get. I think that the (soft) real time capabilities and scalability on multicore systems it provides could make it quite useful.
And Sonic Pi, since it comes with Erlang and SuperCollider seems to be an excellent starting point,
thanks for providing it!
