New Sonic Pi Theremin using Time of Flight Laser Sensor

Just completed a project using the VL53L1X breakout board from Pimoroni. I chose this one becuase it can plug directly onto the GPIO pins of a Raspberry Pi. This gives vastly superior performance to the previous versions I have done using an ultrasonic sensor. The whole project an run on a Pi3, or you can send the data from the sensor via OSC messages to a remote computer running Sonic Pi.
I have done a full write up on my blog here

It contains a link to a video of the project in operation, and links to all the software.
