Hi everyone, I’m Kevin, from Brazil.
I came to Sonic Pi from the MIDI side. I’ve spent a lot of time with MIDI files, looping sections and slowing songs down to see how they’re built, and at some point I wondered what it would feel like to write the patterns myself as code instead of dragging notes around.
So far I’ve been going through the built-in tutorial, playing with live_loop and trying to rebuild a few simple melodies I know by heart. Sending MIDI out to an external synth is next on my list.
