Configuring audio outputs on Linux Bazzite

Hello!

I remember reading before that there are no settings to permanently change the audio output of Sonic Pi v4.6 to a different device. It seems to be stuck using the headphones, even if I now switched my main computer audio. How would I go about changing the audio output of the software?

You may find the video here helpful. It is for version 4.5 but is eseentailly the same for 4.6

You can use the command line program pw-link to set up your sonic pi to use a diferent default sound connection to the HDMI used by default on a Pi. The help info for pw-link is useful to refer to.

Soemwhere I have a progam I used and put in the init file for SP which made it sturt up connected to the Bluetooth speak by default.

Finally the good news is that Sp 5.0 (currently at Releace Canditate 1 and availalbe to Patreon supportes of Sonic Pi) has the sound connections much improved and easier to changed, and easeri to set default values. It should be released to all in the not too distant future.

Sonic Pi v5 RC1 is out and dramatically improves audio configuration. Please try it out: Sonic Pi v5 Release Candidate 1 | Sam Aaron on Patreon
