Having just spent two or three days playing with Hexler’s excellent KodeLife app for generating GLSL Shaders, brings me to realise how much I take Sonic Pi’s excellent documentation so much for granted. KodeLife is potentially an excellent program. It compiles as you use it and the graphical output is super fast and stunning. BUT… you need to know what you are doing, and sadly there’s not a lot of help at present to get going. Lots of searching the internet for snippets and comment from those who have gone before. It is hard going, but hopefully will be worth it.
If anyone else is on the same path, I’ve found the videos here to be very useful…
This may seem a bit off-topic, but it is a program that has the potential to produce some good visuals to run with Sonic Pi. So far I’ve managed to get a reasonable one working. Comes from the same stable as TouchOsc which I use all the time with Sonic Pi.
Looking foward to getting back to doing some Sonic Pi work soon for a bit of relaxation
Hey Robin,
Put down the dusty old books and come over to the
‘whistle’ thread that me, Martin and Emlyn are having
fun with.
Eli…
