Sustaining a piano chord

The docs for the piano synth say:

A basic piano synthesiser. Note that due to the plucked nature of this synth the envelope opts such as attack:, sustain: and release: do not work as expected. They can only shorten the natural length of the note, not prolong it.

But is there any way to sort of trick a piano chord into sustaining beyond the default length?

I doubled the note with the “sine” synth, slow-ish attack and decay/release set to extend the note to however long it needs to be. It does the trick OK, since the ringing sustain doesn’t have much harmonics left anyway.
