Looks like technomachine may require OSC, which introduces another variable…
Ruby’s threads are not normal threads, they’re so-called green-threads which means that they just use a single OS thread.
I wonder if supercollider performs better for you, and how well… currently gathering related (quite the proverbial can of worms)
I also wonder if sc can outperform sp in multi processor / multi core environments, because SP uses Ruby, which affects cpu-thread management and available app resources and all that jazz… but it’s probably not that simple!
