Introduction - Alex Enkerli

On Exquis:

Agreed. Well, some things are remarkably easy. And the fact that it’s “isomorphic” means that something which works well in one key will likely work well in any key. So, it’s an interesting learning curve. One might need to spend more time than expected to learn something simple… then that learning carries to more complicated things.

At the time, I was building a simple webapp to make a part of the learning easier by figuring out which finger to use for which pad. In terms of both learning and ergonomics, it makes a huge difference when you can make the proper gestures on an instrument. (Put that project on the backburner.)

Nice! Really nice! Playful upcycling and a neat approach to sound design.

People who like Korg’s Phase8 would do well to pay attention.

The last year or two, I was obsessed with accruing more and more mpe controllers, but I’ve finally hit saturation point. My go-to is the linnstrument, and I also use the erae touch, but I’ve had a striso board for over a year and never once made music with it. Ditto with roli seaboard block.

Just my obsessive personality. It’s a blessing and a curse.
