have you delete the space at the beginning of your path ?
Are you on mac ?
yes I did and it still didnât work
yes I am on Mac
it worked in Logic Pro
There is missing a /
after bouncedLoops in this path from your error message:
Users amhumphreysDesktop\bouncedLoops808-loop-for-Sonic-Pi.aif
Great, then restart Sonic Pi and try again with exactly the path that worked with Logic Pro.
yeah idk why
this is what I put in the buffer:
s = "/Users/samhumphreys/Desktop/bouncedLoops/808-loop-for-Sonic-Pi.aif"
sample s
but it returned that. like it changed itself
did that, still didnât work
s = "/Users/samhumphreys/Desktop/bouncedLoops/808-loop-for-Sonic-Pi.aif"
sample s
maybe we need to get @samaaron here
Very strange. Can you convert to wav and try again? Also, use a shorter filename not starting with digitsâŚ
s = "/Users/samhumphreys/Desktop/bouncedLoops/SonicPi-Bass.wav"
sample s
still didnât work
And this one works in Logic Pro as well? If yes, I am lost âŚ
EDIT: Last try: remove the minus - from the file name
yeah it does⌠weird
s = "/Users/samhumphreys/Desktop/bouncedLoops/SonicPiBass.wav"
sample s
nope didnât work
Do you have another sample that works?
yeah the hi hat pattern works
What are the file sizes of hi hat compared to bass line?
oh doesnât matter its not working anymore
Are those files opened by another program? Maybe you close other programs that might access those files and block them?
Ooh! I moved the folder with my loops back into the place I had it previously (/Users/samhumphreys/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs/2020/2021/Te Kura/Music/Sonic Pi/bouncedLoops/Hi-hat-loop-for-Sonic-Pi.aif) and now the hi hats are working
so its just not working in the desktop section
