just in case someone is asking similar questions:
I have a simple but working session management with Linux and Sonic Pi using a simple bash script and qjackctl. (start and stop Sonic Pi, a softsynth like Yoshimi or other audio applications and making the right connections). So if there is interest I can share and we can discuss/improve this solution.
