Hi, I was loving my couple of days playing with Sonic Pi, but my use case absolutely requires Ableton Link, but as far a I tell, it has some serious issues timing/starting issues. I have multple DAWs (Ableton, Bitwig) and other live-coding software (Tidal Cycles) and mobile apps on my network and they all agree on the Ableton Link timing cycle, but Sonic Pi just starts at a different point in the cycle every time (it gets the tempo ok, but not the correct start time). The first time I tried it, I thought it was ok. I just adjusted the Global Timewarp until it matched the beat and all seemed fine, but subsequent times, it became clear that each start time was different/arbitrary.
Is this a known issue? If not, I just wanted to let you know that this is (at least on my M1 Mac) broken and unusable… and if this is something that you are not aware of, I’d be happy to send you a screen recording of it occurring.
Aside for this. what a fabulous tool you’ve created
