That’s a thing I’ve been warned about by others who have been doing electronic music for some years - the tech changes and they can’t run their old music. I guess we all ought to keep stems from multitrack DAW recordings, then they could be remixed in the future.

That’s a lot of files 😰 though storage is comparatively cheap nowadays, so yeah!

Because my 2020 music is all still early works, I just keep mp3 files in a OneNote catalogue with links to journal entries related to each track.

I don’t have a catalogue for 2021 yet, because everything is generative so far.
