Hi everyone, I’m Kevin, from Brazil.

I came to Sonic Pi from the MIDI side. I’ve spent a lot of time with MIDI files, looping sections and slowing songs down to see how they’re built, and at some point I wondered what it would feel like to write the patterns myself as code instead of dragging notes around.

So far I’ve been going through the built-in tutorial, playing with live\_loop and trying to rebuild a few simple melodies I know by heart. Sending MIDI out to an external synth is next on my list.

Thanks for all the shared code in this forum, it’s been really useful to read through.
